Editing Rom List? [solved]
« on: July 14, 2010, 02:55:46 pm »
 :dizzy:

I've been playing with Maximus for a bit now and I want to edit down the game list to something manageable, but the filtering in the setup program only gets me part of the way there. Is there an easier way to edit the list of available games?, I'd like to get rid of all the casino and mahjongs and some of the games where there are rom problems.

I'm very happy to see support for Maximus here, I registered and then saw the traffic here about the Maximus forums. I love the front end, but I was beginning to wonder if I had made a mistake..

Cheers

Hello there,
I went and cleaned out all 8333 roms in MAME. I did this in Maximus Arcade. It took me like 3 days. So my MAME game list is pretty nice looking (in MA ). If you would like I will upload it in a few days.

Why not just use ROM lister to filter out what you don't want and then export the file in MA format?  You can then import the .lst file that Romlister creates into MA.

Also, this post may be useful.
