KI1 is far better than KI2.

Super Turbo, KI1, and MK2, cant really go wrong.  All play very different, all very good.  If I have to choose one, its Super Turbo.

Ginsu Victim:

Speaking of Street Fighter, have you all seen the "Cutest Little Chun-Li Ever"?

Mr. Dude:

Street Fighter Alpha 3 still might be my favorite fighting game of all time.

What about the Dead or Alive series.... you can't go wrong with the bouncy quality that game possesed.. lol

Yes you did. So did I.

MK games are too rigid and the addition of true combos later on felt artificial. Street Fighter was the pioneer and the entire game engine flowed well, whether you were a novice or a pro. Combos in that game were true combos you created, not pre-set button presses.

Oh yeah, and sorry peeps but KI1 pissed all over KI2. Unlike movies, game sequels are usually better than preceding titles. However, KI2 was too cartoony, not as moody, slower and less spectacular than the original and went in completely the wrong direction.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Streetfighter 3 3rd strike on here, which is absolutely my favorite fighting game ever.  In fact it is so good that it has completely ruined my arcade cab.
Whenever I have company over we always end up playing 3rd strike despite having 1000's of other games to choose from.  ;)
Yeah mortal kombat has nothing over street fighter or marvel vs capcom series (which is also awesome).  Its gameplay is too slowed and laggy feeling.  Not responsive enough IMO.

Plus moments like this never happen in Mk............
