Space Invader Taito Table Top Restore Help Needed
IG-88:
No help really, but you will probably have better luck getting some answers on the KLOV forums. I'd hate to see you gut it. Not a real fun game but a classic none the less. It will be a lot of work to restore but when you are done the satisfaction is well worth it!
Here is the linky:

These guys can sometimes be a little harsh/honest but you will find no better experts anywhere else IMO. Keep us posted on what you decide to do.

Hi thanks for the link however because I am a new member I can not post in the forum or something! grrrr very frustrating. Anyway back to the machine, any tips on how to clean all the game boards etc they are full of dust and a lot of dust and muck in the cabinet.
Also if somebody knows where the power supply is located could you point me in the right direction only had time for a quick look around today after picking it up but I only seemed to manage to find transformer and below that was a board with two 1.6amp fuses which was fine.
A photo below of some scratches and chrome legs what was chrome legs at least!

yes it does sound like that.
a pic might help! (to upload click the "Addition Options" link when you create a message and browser the jpg you want to attach. if you want to attach more than one pic use the "more attachments" link)
what game pcb is it?
rchadd:
putting in a 60 in 1 is pretty good/easy option as you can use a pc atx powersupply and a pc vga monitor, then rewire the controls to a jamma connector.
that monitor will be black and white and looks like the invaders board is not working anyway...

Could it be a Power Supply Fault?
