Front End Support > Maximus Arcade
Maximus Arcade Forums Have Been down
bclinton:
Wow. I check back a month later and he is still selling codes with no warning to the folks that they are on their own to find support. Amazing.
GadgetBoySI:
I agree; the language is misleading when you go to purchase the code (emphasis added):
--- Quote ---For $25 (USD) you will receive a personalized registration code to unlock the 30 day trial version of Maximus Arcade. Please purchase a registered version of Maximus Arcade and the Maximus Arcade Theme Editor as your purchase will ensure the continuation of this project and updates will continue to be free!
--- End quote ---
I have loaded the trial version several times on my box before I installed it. I am also very aware that you can find the software elsewhere if you know where to search. Regardless of the lack of support for the software by the writer, I still feel he is entitled to make some coin for his efforts. At a minimum he should re-open the forums and/or direct people to here perhaps if they have questions.
Circo:
Or just make the forum button point directly to here.

Or remove it altogether, if only temporarily, until they want to make them operational again. Or post an approximate date when it could be expected to return. Anything is better than what's on there now. Anything. I hate to say it, but reading through the comments, the program sounds like it's getting a bad name from all of the bad press. If support is unavailable, that needs to be noted. If "you're on your own" if you lose your code, that needs to be said.
Anyone who's read my other comments in other threads will know I always give someone the benefit of the doubt, and in this case, I believe the masses have spoken. I came in here a month ago (maybe a bit more) and even then, their forums were down. I don't believe it's too much to ask for a comment on the site from the site's owners.
Digital Vandal:
Hi, all. I'm VERY new to all this and I've been spending far more hours on these forums reading and trying to understand all the ways to build and wire a machine up. I'm in the process of deciding which front end to use and it has come down to either Hyperspin or Maximus and Maximus' forums being down isn't going for it but Delusional's machine certainly is.
I have pretty much decided that I'd like to have something very similar to M37r01d's machine but I have no idea where I might find the plans to his machine or something very similar. I've been searching for hours and a lot of the links I've clicked on have been dead. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated on both the plans for the cab and also the front end situation.
I also need some advice with what spec I need to run all the games I would like to. That would include things like time crisis 2, MK4 in mame and preferably all the consoles up to PS2.
