Need to find short buttons
wp34:
I'm doing a modest restore of an NBA Jam and have run into an issue. I bought all new buttons for the CP but the P1-P4 buttons I bought are too long. There is a metal bar under the CP that the Happ Competitions hit when I try to close the CP.
I need to find something that will fit in a standard 1-1/8" hole (I don't want to redrill) and is 2" or less long. Preferably closer to 1-3/4" in length. I've attached a picture of the button I removed for reference. I've not been able to find anything like it on the web and am hoping someone with more experience will recognize the model. At this point I don't care if the buttons have the P1-P4 symbols on it. Four white buttons that fit in the hole would make my day!

scroll down towards the bottom of that page, there are some yenox brand buttons that are shorter than happ buttons. i can't vouch for their quality, but for player buttons, it shouldnt really matter.

These two buttons are pretty short (can be ordered from the Akihabara Shop).
Seimitsu - PS15 (snap in)
Sanwa - OBSN-30 (screw in)

the sanwa and seimitsu buttons are very short, they are designed to be mounted in a metal panel..they can be mounted in wood panels although it is a little more challenging. also, they look and feel very different from standard happ buttons

I think I might have some buttons like that one. I'll take a look when I get home from work and let you know.
