honda goldwing 'towtruck'!

northerngames:
were in a area that recently passed laws to allow atv's, dirt bike's, side by side's and buggys street legal as long as you have a orv and legit drivers license.

there legal to go the regular and back roads but can also be drivin down the side of the highway's in our county but if you dont have the turn signals on the machine you have to use the arm signals.

I am also  seeing more and more not wearing helmets and riding double and there all plain dumb for that and I am pretty sure that is still not allowed but I could be wrong but eitherway I don't approve of that type riding on a off road vehicle that were not made for double and riding with no helmet double or not is retarted too.

RayB:
Those Gold Wings have more HP than many compact cars.

northerngames:
the 1200's are 94-96 HP stock and I still believe the crank and other parts in the motor would start to crack and get metal gear shaving's in no time from towing around cars with a steet bike.

like my OP there a luggage rack with wheels and a handle bar and by no means a powerhouse dont matter even if it has a v8 in their becuase their still nothing like a car or truck's V8 by any means.

they make a 6 cylinder snowmobile too but you won't see them pulling cars out of ditch's in the winter either :dunno

here's the towing specs for their 1800 model wich is one of their largest most powerfull models torque wise:
Goldwing 1800 towing capacity: Maximum tongue weight of 75lbs, absolute maximum towing capacity 500lbs, total load should never exceed 1/3 of the weight of the vehicle.

last I knew there was not too many 500LB cars out there and actually my banshee quad weighs that so even towing it would cause strain as its at its absolute maximum towing capacity wich I am sure is already at the point of causing some damage even it were just under 500lb.

might as well use a 6 cylinder sea-doo or wave runner as a tug boat while there at it.

another thing to consider too is a honda v8 is nothing like a chevy v8 ford v8 dodge v8 power and torque wise etc. otherwise the guys on the drag strips and what not would be running them honda does make lawn mower's though so maybe they could use them as road graders.

netmare:
What a great temporary solution this is! I wonder how long it would take to get an ox or yak in there instead??

 ???

It only has to tow the vehicle a little way. It's not like they are going to take the car on a road trip or anything? Not sure what you are saying about V8's (which is irrelevant anyway). The main thing that matters is capacity and technology. If you have a 5 litre Ford V8 and a 5 litre Toyota V8, it's pretty silly to assume the Ford has more torque, just cause them AZN's are lil people. I'm pretty sure you can compare those two engines at NASCAR races (I have no idea what size engines are used in NASCAR though)  :dunno
