Ya, leds from china are pretty cheap.  You can find them even cheaper on Ebay though.

Also remember that mcd ratings mean very little.  A more important thing to look at is the ma rating, which puts it at pretty much the same output as any standard "superbright". 

The difference, however, is that these will have a very narrow view cone, a spec which is conspicuously missing ;)
