What's so special about this game?

What makes it worth $2500 when it is so beat up?

A little off topic, we just hired a Steve Perry in our office.  No one got my Journey references.  When he introduced himself he made it clear that he was not the Journey guy.

Back to topic.

Well a dedicated warlords cocktial is fairly rare, but then again rarity does NOT denote value.  The thing is, because it's so scarce, fans of the game are willing to pay a lot for it because they know there aren't many left.  BUT unless you are a hardcore warlords fan that is WAAAY over-priced.  There isn't a single visually appealing detail to that cabinet to denote such a high price and while warlords is fun, let's face it... it's a glorified 4-way pong.  IMHO the "sweet spot" for arcade game is around 500 bucks for a fully working game.  Popular titles often go for much higher, but warlords isn't a popular title.  The thing is, this poor guy forgot that CAX brings out the hardcore arcade nerds and those guys are willing to pay a high price.

Agreed.  I prefer the stand-up Journey cabinet but that is still pretty sweet.  I did not know they made it in a Cocktail.  You suppose it was a conversion?
