Ipac response time
Flip The Switch:
Hi guys, recently installed the IPac 2 in my cab and alls going well except on one side there seems to be a quite a delay between button presses and the action on screen, player 2 side seems to go better even though the wires are roughly the same length?
How long should you wires be from the joystick/buttons to the IPac unit?
My cabs wires are roughly just less than a metre to the Ipac and then the Ipac usb cable is probly about the same.
is this to long?
any other possible reasons for the delay?
thanks

mine were all 6' plus so it's not that check your grounds all over again.

Have you verified none of the buttons are stuck? I had this happen on one of my machines that uses an old computer and it was bad enough that it bogged down the whole thing. Button presses were really slow to respond and the games ran at like 5 frames per second. I initially thought I had a PC problem.
BobA:
Wires would have to be in the 100s of feet to cause a delay and even that would not be noticeable so check that everything is wired correctly and there are no buttons wired nc instead of no. Does the ipac diagnostic run OK?

Thanks for the replies guys,
problem seemed to be with the buttons being bound to the Alt/Cntrl keys (default), my computer doesnt seem to like it.
Changed the top buttons to B,N,M and it functions fine theres no delay at all, it was like the Alt, Cntrl keys were staying pressed and not comming unpressed till i pressed them again, i checked all this in Winpac.
Cant seem to get my shifted keys to function now though?
