Pinball Emulation

DashRendar:

Now thaat the hardware portion is all done on my MAME cab, it's now time to look at the software.

Besides MAME (and a few other emulators), I would like to be able to play pinball on my cab.

I already have dedicated buttons for the plunger, flippers, and nudges.

Currently I'm using HyperSpin for my front end.  There's a link in HS for Future Pinball.  Is this what most people use?

When I launch it, it opens up to a window that lets me edit or create a pinball table.  Not quite what I am looking for.

BobA:

You can choose table launcher from the file menu to load all of the FP tables that you have.  Or you can open a FP table then click on Play to play the specific table.   Once you have used FP for a while the used tables will show up at the bottom of the file menu.

mwong168 just did a great writeup on how to install VP and has all the directions there plus info on Hyperpin.
The front end for VP and FP.

Thanks for the help BobA.

I wonder- could I create a wheel for the different tables in HyperSpin, or would I need two front ends (HyperSpin and HyperPin)?

BobA:

You can work it with hyperspin but hyperpin was made for VP and FP.

I have future pinball working pretty well on my arcade cab running on hyperspin.

I need to finish converting the 0.8 theme and making it 1.0 zipped

I have been playing so much future pinball I am starting to crave getting a hold of a real one.

I got the wheel art for hyperpin which needs to be a download in the FTP or web site section for hs
