Are the commercially made spinners, such as Turbo Twist 2 and Spintrak able to be used with arcade PCBs? I have a Gigas card (an Arkanoid clone), and am interested in playing it. Oh yes. The same thing goes with trackballs, such as Wico or HAPP. |

You'll need to ask Ultimarc or Groovy Game Gear if they will work with a real arcade board. The best spinner for Arkanoid, IMHO is either an original arkanoid spinner, or the Happ Controls replacement. http://www.happ.com/joysticks/95093100.htm Most trackballs, except the USB/PS2 trackballs, are made to work with game boards. |

The spinners have an optical sensing circuit, probably pretty similar to the original arcade spinners, but I think the resolution is way higher in the new spinners. But hook an Arduino in between, and program it to convert the pulse rate. |
