| Rush The Rock for $300 a good deal? |

So there is a local sale on a Rush the Rock complete driving cab (it says its missing PCB, HDD and PS). He is asking $300 for it. Is this a good deal? |
| Q*Bert_OP:
Absolutely not! That game sells complete and working for around $400! Consider $100 for pcb and hard drive, plus $35 for the correct power supply. Add some for your time, and you'd be stuck with an albatross that cost you more than it's worth! |

If it was 200 or 250 id probably get it if it was near by and I didnt have to go through too much trouble to get it. |

I guess it depends on what you plan to do with it. If the monitor is in good shape, you have that, the wheel, shifter, pedals, driving seat, speakers, and the housing itself. You can spend more than half of the price on just the seat if you are buying new. I think if you are considering this as a jumping point to make a generic driving cabinet, you have to consider the sum value of the parts, rather than what you can get for it when restored (unless that is what you are planning to do.) Thanks for the feedback guys. Personally I thin $300 is steep considering the missing PCB and HDD and PS. I would considering restoring it if it had all of the above, but without those I think that I'd likely just MAME it and use what is there to create my own generic driving cab. I think $200 is fair so we'll see what happens with that offer. |
