| What are peoples buttons mapped like? |

I used something similar to that 7 button layout you are thinking about, but it looks a bit different. This is my layout Yes the primary reason is for neo geo gams.. they had 4 buttons in a row (the extra button on the bottom lets you have 4 buttons in a row). Honestly, that button will probably only be used for king of the fighters and other neo geo fighters. I think most systems will work fine with 6, and the ones that need more than 6 actually work better using a joypad I'll let you know how it feels, I should have it in a week or two |

what is the joystick on the upper level for? never understood that. |

dedicated 4-way i believe |

so you got a joystick just for 4 way games? Hmm.. is it comfortable to play with way up there? |

Yeah I did, I haven't tried it out yet since I don't have the c panel yet, but I can't imagine it being too bad. Another alternative is to get those u360 joysticks.. I hear with mame they can automatically switch between 2 way, 4 way, and 8 way depending on the mame game you are playing. You'll be able to use both joysticks for player 1, the only difference is that the 4 ways makes it easier to play some of the older games. I have a spinner hole too (hey hey, no jokes).. not sure if I'll put that in right away because of the cost of the turbo twist. |
