----------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------

- One credit only.

- No continues!

- No MAME cheats!

- Last day is Sunday April 18th (11:59:59pm Pacific Daylight Time), 2010.

- High score wins.

- No savestates, savestate practices, etc. during the round.

- MAME INP recordings are optional, but encouraged!

- A screenshot is required to enter a score (press F12 to save screenshot showing your final score) or take a photo of the screen if playing on a real machine.

- If you're a MARP competitor on this title, keep in mind this is just a friendly competition amongst forum members, so maybe you shouldn't enter. However, if you're a forum member and this is a game you're good at and nobody knows about it, this is your time to shine!

Good luck!

This game is @#$@%# hard!
In the unlikely event I win this competition I will go old school vector for the next one, Ripoff or Gravitar.

Yah, this game is mean...especially the 3rd screen--it's too hard to navigate through the maze in the middle of the screen!  =\

Here's my opening salvo, though I don't think I'll be pursuing this one too zealously...  120,020

Thanks,
-Jason

PS--generally, if somebody wins 2 competitions in a row, the 2nd place winner of the 2nd competition picks the next game to prevent 1 person from monopolizing the game selections.

Since I made the mistake when I won the competition I picked... ;)

If you win the 2nd place gets to choose the next game :)

EDIT: Jasonbar beat me to it

Absolutley loved the Krull film as a child (being born in '81, I came to know it through my parent's fondness of the film), and had to watch again after the new High Score competition brought the memories flooding back.  Still one of my all time favourites.

Alas, my skills with the game leave somewhat to be desired, first few attempts left me with a somewhat pathetic score ok 15.3K.

Need a bit more pratice i think, and hope to post back with improvement, although the Emerald seer forsees failure on my part.

Thanks for the memories!

not competitively, but just for the fun of it

Nothing like a hard-earned victory over adversity & rigorous, vigorous competition!  It was Mappy all over again!   :lol

I'll post the next game tonight.  I have a few titles in mind & want to narrow it down to one.

Thanks,
-Jason

I tried. I just couldn't come up with a score worth even posting. Tough frickin' game. I'm sure the problem was that no one had a score that even came close to yours.

OK, so it wasn't Mappy all over again.  It was Gladiator all over again.

Sorry to be a spoilsport.   ;D

And there I was last night, considering playing a little more Krull to try to cement my lead, assuming that somebody was going to trounce me.  Little did I know...
