installing arcadevga prior to connecting...
sunnywala:
Hey guys I have a quick question, what is the best way of installing the arcadevga card without a crt screen?
All I have are LCDs and the arcade monitor available. It wont display on the lcds
I'm trying to figure out if it is safe to connect it to the arcade monitor without drivers already installed.
Thanks!

Are you connecting the LCD's via the DVI port on the ArcadeVGA card?
Otherwise you won't get a picture according the instructions. You may need a DVI to VGA converter though.
CRT or LCD doesn't make a difference I think.
It will btw. be easier to first set everything up on your (high resolution) LCD monitor and then connecting to the
arcade monitor.

i'm using the vga port...monitor says input timing not supported. TV says not supported check output settings
arcade monitor shows green and blue lines when connected via breakout cable.
the card is a agp version
the only thing i can think of is buying a crt monitor just to install the card.
any other ideas?

The LCD/VGA CRT monitor needs to connect to the DVI port( Is there a dvi port? )

I don't think you need to buy a CRT just for this. Just hook your LCD monitor up via the DVI OUTPUT on the arcadevga card.
It works no problem for me. If your LCD monitor only has a VGA INPUT just use a DVI to VGA converter. Can be bought
at any computer store probably under $10.
