I Just Watched (movie) For The First Time

Same here. I've got her into so many different directors and genres that she had no interest in before we met.

Ditto.
There's still some movies though she'll never watch...like The Shining. She also gets freaked out by psychological thrillers. I keep telling her that that's the point, but to each his (her) own.
She also doesn't do well with claustrophobic themes. She only recently agreed to watch "The Decent", and she looks away when the Grinch gets stuck in the chimney every Christmas season :dunno
Epyx:
I should add a small disclaimer...
There are some movies I watch with my buddies of the Japanese Splatter Gore variety during guy nights that I would never have my wife watch...
examples:
- Tokyo Gore Police
- The Machine Girl
But let's face it...they were made for guy nights...
shmokes:
Yeah, my wife doesn't like Superbad or Southpark, but she loves Road Trip and Wedding Crashers. She's not a guy, but she's not a prude. We like 95% of the same stuff. There's just a small amount of brilliant stuff (like Frisky Dingo and Evil Dead) that she just doesn't get, but I'm not going to stop liking it, or stop watching it just because she wrongheadedly and horribly mistakenly doesn't recognize its greatness. ;D These are things we can work out. We just don't watch them together. But make no mistake. She is wrong wrong wrong in no uncertain terms.
BTW, the other thing my wife can't take is gore. And this applies even to movies she absolutely loves. She is in love with Kill Bill, for example, but she will never watch it again.

That's what I'm getting at! If it was some chick flick she liked, she'd probably get really pissed if you tried to make her stop and leave right?
