Does Virtua NBA (Naomi) work on any emulators?

If so, which one(s)  And which emulator is generally the best for Naomi games?

Thanks.

lilshawn:

"Demul" and "Chankast" are of the very few Dreamcast/Naomi/atomiswave emulators out there.

FYI: Naomi = Dreamcast = Atomiswave they are all based on the same CPU

In my opinion Makaron is the best naomi emulator out there. It emulates most of the games very well. I run demul for games that don't run fast enough on makaron or that are for vertical screen (mine is horizontal and makaron cannot flip the screen). Nulldc has also a decent naomi emulation but last time I check you couldn't make the 2nd player work.

Great.  Thanks.

Can you use the MAME roms for the Naomi versions of Makaron, Demul and NullDC or do you need Naomi specific roms?

What are your system specs that you are running these on?

ptinolv:

My computer is a core2duo 2.4GHz, 1G of RAM and runs XP. There is mainly marvel vs capcom 2 that cannot run full speed on makaron.

On naomi you have 2 types of games : the cartridges games and the gd-rom games (the one with a a chd file in mame).
Makaron can now read the cartridges games of mame but you need a .dat format for the gd-roms games. You can convert the mame chd files to .dat files but it is a little complicated.

Demul can also run the cartridges games of mame and has a .bin format for the gd-roms games.

I may be wrong but i don't think nulldc is able to run cartridges games and has also a different type of roms for the gd-roms (.lst)

And to answer your question Virtua NBA seems to be working on the last version of makaron using the mame rom virnba.zip. I don't know about demul.
