where can I find a 7 inch lcd? doesn't need to be touch screen

+1 on the 7" DoubleSight. I got one for work from NewEgg and it is a sharp little monitor. $125 w/ shipping.

Best part about this one is that you don't need a separate video card. It gets power and the video signal over a USB cable. Only negative is that the USB cable comes directly out of the back. The monitor is extremely thin, but it has to have about 1" clearance in the back for the USB cable to bend. Probably not an issue for your needs.

As for mounting, it takes a single machine screw in the center of the back. if you don't need flush mounting, you could drill a small hole in the wood, get a long screw and just connect it right to the wood. Drill a hole for the wire also.

On a side note, anyone know of a good 7-10" touch screen monitor? Preferably a SAW touch system, but any will work.
