I am using a happs 3" Tball with an Opti-Pac Connected by the Serial Port . The Problem is I can't do a click and drag. I can't move an icon in windows, drag a card in solitaire or highlite text in notepad or other wp's . I am running win98se . If someone with a similar configuration could check this I would appreciate it. The Tball works fine in all games I have tried. Thanks Slug54 |

I have the same problem, but it has nothing to do with the trackball. The problem is apparently the microswitch button (combined with the Opti-Pac). So ... I have the same problem. :'( |

If I'm not mistaken, arcade buttons are momentary contact. A mouse click - hold - and drag requires that the button be continually pressed throughout the drag process. As far as your computer is concerned, you clicked and immediately released the button. |

This is the same setup that I was planning on...... :-[ Would switching from microswitch to leaf style buttons fix the problem? |

I believe so since I don't think that leaf microswitches are momentary contact. I have some here and I don't see how they could make them that way. I'd give it a shot but i'd say it's about 99% that it would work. |
