FrizzleFried:

Just paint what you have.  If you have a gloss black underlay,  paint the bezel gloss black.  If you have a matte black underlay... paint the bezel matte black... seems pretty easy to me.

Neverending Project:

If you want/need a non-flat bezel, the instructions here work great. I used them as an example and made one. Then I used my own to make a second one a little more precise. A bit of gloss black spray paint it is great!

Edit: I missed that you want a flat bezel. But the instructions above are great for non-flat, for sure.

:laugh2:  Obviously I was joking since you probably thought about your bezel more than most people think about their entire cabs (and the result speaks for itself).

TOK:

I used foam board and painted it. Its rigid enough to stand on its own.
The only thing you have to be careful about is choosing a paint with propellant that won't eat the foam on the cut edges. I used Testors spray in the little 4oz can, it will not eat foam.
