Question about bondo application.  Do you need sand before applying the bondo?

Question about bondo application.  Do you need sand before applying the bondo? 

Technically no since you will be sanding down the bondo anyway - I did because it gave me a much better idea of where to apply the bondo since I could rub my hands over the surface and slap on some bondo where ever I felt an imperfection.

Sorry have not been on in a few days.  But as usual javeryh is correct.  I did the sanding to see what needed to be done as well, plus I figured I might ding a spot with the sander and have to bondo that spot.
