But you have to do that for any of the summer special effect blockbusters.

This is nonsense.  If you want to say it was so hilariously bad that it was . . . well . . . hilarious, that's one thing.  But you can't give it a pass on quality based on some crazy idea that this kind of movie doesn't need quality.  2012 is ---smurfing--- horrible, including compared to plenty of special effect blockbusters.  Spiderman 1 & 2, Iron Man, Forest Gump, Terminator 1 & 2, Star Wars IV, V & VI, Star Trek (a few of them), The Matrix, Gladiator (kind of bad, but amazing compared to 2012), Lord or the Rings, X-Men, Jurassic Park, Jaws, etc., etc., etc..  Seriously, I could go on and on.

SNAAKE:
2012 is far from most "summer blockbuster". its on a whole new level of fail.

That was also my favorite part of the movie. Pretty well done

Although it did kind of beg the question, why not just turn?  LAX is on the ocean.

That's pretty much what I meant, yes.

As soon as we saw the Sistine Chapel...the entire world watching knew damn well where it would crack.

Shall we say "attempt at a blockbuster", then? (Looks like it was released in Nov.)  Movies can be particularly bad, yet still do well at the box office, hence "blockbuster".  I don't believe the term connotes "good movie."  I assume this was, since it grossed nearly $770 million so far worldwide.  Boxofficemojo shows around 84% gave it a C or better (A-D,F scale).

And you all know you liked Wood...y in it.
