Kevin Mullins:

If you don't have a chip puller just use a small flat bladed screwdriver and gently lift a little from each end at a time so that the chip comes up evenly. You also want press them back in as straight and even as possible while watching the legs. If you do enough of them you will get the feel for it, just take care on the first few for sure.
You can actually use a pencil eraser and gently clean the legs if need be. Careful not to tweak the legs too much.

On the neckboard - it's best to use something like a bit of super glue and glue the crack back together prior to scraping the traces and solder jumping the cracked ones. With care it can be done and not be too shabby of a repair. Bit of a pain, but will work.

I didn't see a manual for the "R" version around the few regular places I checked. (will look some more) But you may be able to compare one side to the other to figure out where the mystery wire goes. Nice thing about twin machines, usually you'll find something to compare to on the other side.

Ok and do you know where the sound plugs in? I found the cord I think that goes to the cars seats speakers but I dont know where it goes..

zaktallica:

Oh btw I asked because one of my seats had no speakers at all and no wires and the other has the speakers and wire but was not plugged in lol..

Guess that leaves comparing the two out then....  :P
I'd have to see if the regular Final Lap manual is similar enough in those regards to check against.
The seats I have from a Final Lap have since been "modified".

zaktallica:
