| Utrack USB interface: can you add mouse buttons? |

Does anybody know if Ultimarcs U-trak with USB interface has the option to add a left and right mouse button? Can't find it on ultimarcs site. |
| KapnKerfuffle:
No, because the U-trak does not come with it's own button encoder. The only thing you get when you order a U-trak with USB is the trackball, the USB2 interface and a USB cord (and a trim bezel I think, can't remember if it's an add-on). And the only thing that plugs into the adapter is the trackball. You need a separate button encoder to connect left and right-click buttons. |

You could get the Utrak and use the Optiwiz encoder, which does support 3 mouse buttons. |

Or an Optipac or a MiniPac ... |

Bummer. I hoped to be able to use it as a "hufter"-proof mouse. The cost of a seperate encoder adds too much to the price for the use. |
