Pointless Rant

Go to your doctor and say that you are stressed out - and he should give you a week off work via a sick note.
Don't touch your arcade cab during this time - do nothing but chill and go on walks.
You need to reset.
I've done it in the past and it worked out great for me.
If you spend all your free time while off work on your cab or projects it will make you feel worse when you go back to work.
I'm currently in the UK and I when it gets too much I take a time out and go to the Lake District for a few days walking and finding peace.
When I'm in the US I go to Red Rock to hike or Pioche to fish. It important to find quiet.
I'm sure you can find a similar habitat to lose yourself in where you live.

I think we've all been at this point at one time or another. I have a great job and I go through this regularly (it's a good day and I'm trying to always stay positive now to be more lucky - long story).
Anyway...biggest thing is to give it time, don't let the frustration make you quit, and just hang in there. Start looking for other positions and, hopefully, something will turn up. However, as noted, find something else BEFORE you quit. It's much easier to job hunt and make a good impression when you're not desperate for money for rent/food/etc.
Hang in there...it'll get better. And try to identify the good stuff about your job.

I left work early today and I have booked tomorrow and next week off work. I really DO need a break. I thought about how I feel long and hard on the way back home and I think I have been burning the candle at both ends for too long.
I won't touch the arcade during that week, or any DIY. The plan is to actually take a week off. I haven't had a whole week off for a very long time. I have gone through my work schedule and penciled in a slot every week day to look for a new job when I get back to work.
Crap timing tho' I just broke my headphones, so better get some new one's or playing arcade games or listening to music will be out of the question during my break.

It definitely happens -- I've had 6 month stretches when I couldn't spare the time to touch a project game nor take the time to go fishing or otherwise reset. At the same time I ended up with pretty severe insomnia, which just makes everything worse because you get less and less done. And then you see that 6 foot, 300 pound paperweight (the cabinet) and feel even worse.
Hang in there and try to reset as much as you can, even if in little ways.
Hell, I've found that doing something totally mundane and boring like sorting through capacitors to put together a kit to fix a monitor can help me get back on track. Once I get "back in the game", I find that taking 30 minutes or so of preventative maintenance each day for me (can be time on the treadmill, cooking, reading a book or working on a game) helps keep me balanced.
And 9 hours of commuting in a day would push anybody right around the bend!!!
