Hello all, I don't know if any of you remember me but I posted on here alot maybe 5 years ago when I built my mame cabinet and haven't really been around since. Its a nice cabinet by the way, I'll have to post pictures. Anyways, my question now is...I have no experience at all with real arcade game hardware at all...just using a computer to run an arcade machine. I'm very interested in building a NFL Blitz/ NBA showtime cabinet but have no idea really what is needed besides the pcbs. Can someone give me a quick run down of what would be needed to build one of these? can all the materials be purchased? the costs...? Can televisions be used to display images from a real pcb rather than a computer ( basically are there any convertors made that allow pcbs to be plugged into the inputs of a television)... Just really know nothing about actual arcade hardware or how to build a machine using real parts. Someone please give me the rundown. How much would a project like this cost? Thanks, Douglas.

I think the Arcade Misc forum is where folks talk about non-MAME :

Good luck!
